1-year anniversary launch: Health from the hive
Happy Solstice! To celebrate a year on Substack, I'm launching a class dedicated to hive products that support health.
One year ago I launched this blog on my favorite day of the year. More than 100 posts later, this space is still dedicated to permaculture, nutrient-dense food, and beekeeping. A few months ago I shared that my main goal in keeping bees is hive health, but that goal has evolved to focus on how we (me, my family, everyone) can lean on products from the hive for our own health: health from healthy hives. I’ve shared how to use honey for wound care and general skincare, the amazing uses of propolis for treating staph infections and supporting immunity, and the seemingly limitless health support potential of pollen that I’ve dubbed Vitamin P.
Health From the Hive: Women’s Health Course
In the background I’ve been diving into modern research on these substances made by the bees—specifically related to women’s health. I created an on-demand, online class that details how hive products support women’s health at every stage of life. The class covers monthly cycles and fertility, to perimenopause and menopause support, and specific health conditions and modern stressors that impact women. It’s remarkable how much research shows promise in health support from hive products throughout a lifetime, and I’m also amazed at ancestral uses before today’s science was available.
The course launches in celebration of this blog’s 1-year anniversary, and it also happens to be 🦋National Pollinator Week, 🐝Pollinator Month, and the 🎂7-year anniversary of acquiring my first hive. With all of these milestones, I’m offering the course at a reduced price for today only. Get $100 discount with the code TLT100
As subscribers, you’re the only ones learning about this course today. Paid subscribers, at the close of this email there’s a paywall that you already have access to. In that space you’ll receive complimentary access to the course introduction video (1-hour). In the video I explain the various products that honey bees create, how they’re made, harvested, and their many uses.
In my routine solstice tradition, I’m not online today, my phone is off, and I’m taking a break from the blog. I’ll be back in July. Thank you for reading and sharing what you learn here with your friends and fam. 🙏🏻 Happy Solstice!
